The Inaugural National Peas/ce Project is inviting you to help form a giant desert pea on country to film from the air as we remember those who died on country and we need your help to make this happen. As part of the Peas/ce Project we will be filming The Anthem of the Desert Pea by Hazel Davies of Making Peas/ce.

This will be held in conjunction with the Inaugural Discovery Parks Desert Pea Festival
in Alice Springs so there will be stalls, food, pea making workshops and more. All Welcome!

What is a peace project?

The Peace Project is an initiative of The OZY Youth Choir Honouring Defence Service, Inc. It is an opportunity to engage as many young people and their families around the nation to -

Stand together for Peace
Stand together for Veterans and their families
Sing to Remember
Rethink Remembrance

The Peace Project is intended to add value to what you already have planned for the the Centenary of the Year of Peace to engage as many young people as possible in your Celebrations/ Commemorations.

It can be as simple as getting young people in your community to sing the Peace Project songs as part of a commemorative service or as big as putting 100s or even 1000's of young people together with your community together in an iconic shape to be photographed from the air whilst they sing our 2 Peace Project songs. This can be done on 11 November as part of your commemorative service or as a stand alone project at another time throughout the year.

Become a Peace Project Champion

Can't find a Peace Project in your town? Why not become a Peace Project Champion and run one in your area!
We are looking for Peace Project Champions who are willing to organise a Peace Project in their school, town or city. We will support you and give you what you need along the way!
